Boston, MA—Massachusetts College of Art and Design is honored to present Those Nasty Kidz, an exhibition by AoA Supply featuring an exploration of nostalgia, studio life, and urban landscapes. These artists —Doe, Eyevan, JB183, and MAR—seek to beautify and unite local communities around Boston through their work. Brought together as kids by the interests in murals and graffiti, AoA Supply began as a group of friends selling paint in a barber shop on Huntington Avenue, and progressed their scale of collaborative paintings from canvases to billboards and entire buildings.
Those Nasty Kidz reflects their spirit of growth and collaboration by inviting the community into an interactive and hands-on environment. All audiences are welcome to make the space their own in a recreation of the artists’ studio by immersing themselves in the work, and doing some sketching with provided materials in the Arnheim Gallery. This will be a space to step into the minds of the artists, and partake in the process of making, socializing, and inspiring one another.
This exhibition was organized by students in the Exhibitions course in the Art Education Department at Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
